Lakbay Norte (Pagudpud-Laoag-Vigan-Baguio)
Our Lakbay Norte this year has been a long planned trip. We got our plane tickets last July of last year and we have been preparing for this trip ever since. We only made reservations for our accomodation in Baguio but for the rest, it was all on the spot.
Touchdown Manila last March 2 at 7am in the morning and spent the whole day at MOA while waiting for our evening flight to Laoag. Our main dilemma was where to leave our backpacks while malling the whole day. It would be very inconvenient and tiresome to bring our backpacks with us while strolling around MOA. Luggage and More was our savior for the day. Their luggage services was quite pricey but if it means a lot of convenience for us, then we'd go for it. We actually got a discount, PHP350 for 2 luggages. The price is not that bad when you're in Manila and especially if the luggage service is located inside the airport.
We strolled MOA happily and stress free. We did a little shopping and met Mommy Liza's siblings during lunch then finally went back to the airport around 4pm to checkin and wait for our flight.
The flight to Laoag was an hour and 15 minutes. We finally arrived in Laoag at around 9pm in the evening. The locals were friendly and even directed us to where we can avail of the free shuttle going to our accommodation. The local government takes care of their tourist by providing free shuttle services going the guest's respective accommodations since the airport of Laoag was a 20 minute ride to the city proper. Our accommodation, Tiffany Hotel where we made reservations earlier that day was situated in the city proper where 24-hour fastfood chains are accessible.
Our room in Tiffany Hotel, PHP1400 per night good for 4 persons.
