HK Tour Day 2: Ocean Park

Happy Birthday, Boo!

Our second day in Hongkong was the birthday of my husband. We woke up early as usual so we'd get the chance to use the bathroom first and so we can take our breakfast early.

This was how Mongkok looked like in the morning. This photo was taken just right outside the Sincere House.

Boo was the one who got our tickets from the ticketing machine since we opt not to use an Octopus card.

Our destination for the day was at Ocean Park. We plan to stay the whole day there and try to check on their rides. Getting there was through the bus at Admiralty Station.

Ocean Park was like the Ocean Park we have in Subic, only better. They have Dolphin shows as well as animal shows. They also have a large oceanarium just like the Ocean Park at Manila Bay.

Souvenir shops are just right inside the entrance gate.

Their rides were quite scary and height challenging. We did not try any of their rides because I was afraid of getting a heart attack due to fear.

We watched the Dolphin show as well as the animal show.

We also got on their cable car which was quite scary compared to the one from Ngong Ping 360 because this one's quite open and can only accommodate 2-6 persons. They use the cable car to transport the tourists from one island to the other. The cable ride takes up to 15-20 minutes max.

This was the "submarine" that transported us to the other island.

Here are our pictures at Ocean Park.

The large Oceanarium at Ocean Park:

It was already 3PM and hubby was getting bored at Ocean Park. We decided to head back to Mongkok and look for the Ladies Market which was just located right accross the street from Dragon Hostel. It's like the Night Cafe/Market that we have here in Cagayan de Oro.

Before heading home, hubby and I roam around the Ladies Market and got around their gadget shops. Oh and before I forget, when shopping for souvenirs, always haggle half of the price because they're selling everything at a higher price when you're a tourist.

Here are detailed instructions on how to get to Ocean Park, Hongkong.
