Cebu Weekend Getaway

So last weekend the family went to Cebu for a short vacation. Originally it was only Jeff and I who planned to get a short vacation since we had free one-way tickets from Cebu Pacific Air. These were free tickets from our cancelled flight last January.

We also availed an overnight stay at Crown Regency Hotel from Metrodeal.com which made our trip more exciting.

When my parents knew about our short trip, they decided to join us as well including the accommodation we availed at metrodeal. Now this too is exciting. Too bad my sister can't join us due to schedule conflict at work.

Our flight to Cebu was scheduled at 2:30pm and bound to arrive at 3:00pm. Lola and cousin Insek drove us to the airport

and upon arriving in Cebu, it was my cousin Rendel who fetched us from the airport.

Hello Cebu!

Going to Crown Regency Hotel took around an hour to get there from the airport. So finally after an hour of travel, we arrived at the hotel at around 4:30pm.

Checking in at the counter took around 20 minutes since they had to look up for our reservations and had us sign some papers. We handed over our vouchers as proof for our reservation. Also, they had to take Php2000 as a bond during our stay at the hotel and will be given back upon check out.

Here we are at the reception area:

Our room was at the 31st building with which we had to take the elevator to the 19th floor and transfer to another elevator accross to reach the 31st floor. Guests are given two cards to use - one for the room and one when taking the elevator lift. You cannot use the lift without it.

Groupie before taking the lift. 😁

The room we got was a deluxe room overlooking the city that has 2 double-sized beds, television, mini-refrigerator, water boiler, hot and cold shower with bath tub. Our stay also includes free breakfast for 2, free use of pool and gym. Water and coffee was also complimetary inside the room. The room is actually good for 4 but when we asked the receptionists how much an additional person would cost, she said that it would cost us Php1500 including the hotel's amenities. So if we added mom and dad as additional guests for our accommodation, that would be Php500 more compared to the discounted price of the voucher at Php2577.

Our room:

No worries about forgetting your toiletries. You have everything here.

Our view from the top:

More pictures inside the room. Papa was the one taking the pictures, so you'd rarely see him on the pics. And the pillow has to be there for me to hide those flabs.

Our first stop was at the Santo Nino Church. We didn't take pictures though because I only had my phone with me. I was kind of afraid that my phone might get snatched as there were a lot of people around. After praying at the Santo Nino we had our dinner at Jollibee and headed our way back to the hotel. We also dropped by at Robinsons Supermarket to buy some groceries.

When we went back to the hotel, I got so tired from the trip that I fell asleep a few minutes after taking a hot bath. I was awake since 2am so that explains it. I didn't even noticed my mom's text for us to go down the bar for some karaoke.

Good Night Cebu!

I woke up the next day realizing that Boo and I took each bed. It was only in the morning that he joined me.

Good morning Cebu!

Morning coffee overlooking the city.

Our first activity for the day is to go the Power Gym for a workout. We were there as early as 6am. We took the treadmill first and then off we go trying the other workout equipments. We worked out for at least an hour or so.

Papa trying the dumbbells.

Here's mama:

And Boo and me.

Not to forget our groupie shot. ;)

Up next was our complimentary breakfast buffet at the Glo Cafe & Lounge located at the 9th floor.

The buffet was perfect as it gives you a lot of food choices and it's delicious too! We all had our stomach's full!

After our sumptuous meal, it's swimming time! The swimming pool is located at the 13th floor.

It was kinda hot already to swim in this area as it was already 9am. So we opted to swim on the secluded one.

When swimming on this secluded pool, this is our top view from the pool.

Groupie shot at the pool.

Here are more pics at the pool and underwater. It was a fun morning. The water is clear and does not smell chlorinated. See how clear it is underwater.

Check out time was 12 noon and our next destination was at SM City to leave our baggage at the Traveller's Lounge while we were waiting for my cousin Rendel. We got tired easily due to the workout and swimming activities we had in the morning. We were too tired to roam around so we had a coffee break at Starbucks.
My relatives arrived at around 5pm and they treated us to dinner at a Taste of Mandarin Restaurant.

We slept at my cousin's house and they drove us to the airport the next morning.
Good bye Cebu! Until we meet again this October!

xoxo,
lheyvens :3

Only healthy food is not enough to stay healthy you also need some workout to keep yourself in shape. You may do workouts by going to the gym or at home. But you have to do workouts every day. Buy best gym equipment
