Our Honeymoon: Day 2: Ortigas – Batangas

August 10, 2008

After the tiring adventure we had on our first day, Boo and I woke up early to eat our free breakfast and to pack our things since Ninong Noel will be coming to our hotel to fetch us. Our itinerary for the day is to go to Boo’s relatives in Batangas.

While waiting for Ninong Noel to arrive from CDO because he was there at the wedding, Boo and I already checked out and played chess board games at the hotel’s lobby. It was a serious fight and none of us would give in, unfortunately, we were not able to finish the game because Ninong Noel already arrived at the hotel.

Here are our last minute pictures at Kabayan:

We spend the whole day going to Robinsons and then stayed at Ninong Noel’s condo in Ortigas while we were waiting for his wife who was doing all the grocery. We just watched TV at the condo with Ninong Noel’s kids and also went up at the rooftop for an overlooking view at Ortigas. The condo was at the 28th floor of the building so it was just an elevator away from rooftop. We stayed there until it was already time to go.

Our pics at the Condo:

When his wife arrived at around noon, we and their kids ate at Robinson’s for an eat-all-you can buffet meal which was of course their treat. Thank you po!

After lunch, we went back to their condo to get their things since Ninong Noel’s wife and kids will be going back to their main house (I forgot the place). Their house was really far from Oritgas and we were stuck in traffic. Well what would you expect in Manila?

We arrived at their place around 2 o’clock in the afternoon and Tita invited us in to eat some of my favorite fruits, Pomelo. A few minutes later, Ninong Noel, Boo and I went off to start our journey to Batangas which is approximately 3 hours away from Manila.

I slept on most part of the trip. I couldn’t help it; I am really a sleepyhead when it comes to travelling. (lolz)

at the van:

We arrived in Batangas around 5:30 o’clock in the evening. Boo’s relatives lives in a single compound composed of different houses. Everyone was excited to see us, the newlyweds and I was formally introduced to the family. They were all so nice to me and very cordial and accommodating too! And what amazes is that they speak so fast. I just enjoy watching them and listening to them with all their accent and speed of talking.

We stayed at Tita Belen’s house for the night and we rested early because a lot of trips were in store for us the next day. On the other hand, Ninong Noel went back to Manila because his wife forgot an important document at the back of the van. He opted to ride a bus back home so that we can use the van for tomorrow’s trip. Thank you Ninong Noel!

Here are our snaps when we arrived at Tita Belen’s house. Too bad we were not able to get their pictures. :(

Well, that’s all that happened in Day 2. Watch our for our Honeymoon trip, Day 3.
